Application

The small, compact design of the KD series underground core drilling rig for narrow spaces makes it ideal for use in narrow tunnels or in galleries. Quick and easy to set up, the KD series core drilling rig’s mechanized rod handling, hinge-mounted rod holder, and rotation unit mean flexible, efficient drilling.

Characteristics

1. It is separate in structure, small in size, light in weight, flexible in movement and convenient in operation.
2. The hydraulic pump is driven by explosion-proof electric motor through operating system, then the hydraulic pump enforces hydraulic motor to make drill head rotate, and at the same time, the movement of drill head is realized by oil cylinder & chain double speed mechanism.
3. Hydraulic chuck can satisfy the function of shackles and power-off protection.
4. The sliding and extending & retracting function of the mast makes it convenient for the bottom of mast to touches the ground or platform, thus the drill rig will be more stable.
5. The swinging arm and mast can do luffing movement, which satisfy the request of multi-angle drilling.
6. The range of spindle rotating speed is wide and the torque is large.

Specification

Power Unit

The power unit is mounted on a wheeled frame,is easy to move,and it can leave a distance with the main body when it is working.The power unit has a high power electric motor,gear box,double hydraulic pump(main hydraulic pump dive the rotary head,and sub hydraulic pump drive the feed cylinder),hydraulic oil tank,filter,handle pump,electric control box and so on.

Main Body

The main body is consist of feed frame,rotation head,rod holder,column,cylinder.facilitate to saaembly and disassemble.Can drilling holes 0-360 degree in tunnel by column.

Control panel

The control panel is simple but facility.operator only push or pull the control rod all the working can be done,It can automaticlly feeding,feed force and speed are easy to control.The chuck and rod holder and act same time which make the drilling rig can load and unload drill rod same time,instrument panel show the system pressure,feed force and flushing water pressure,increase the working efficiency greatly.

Rotary Head

The innerdiameter of rotary head spindle is 58mm,change the jaws of the hydraulic chuck allows quick adaptation to different size rods.The spindle speed automatically adaptation by hydraulic motor.It can reach lowrotational speed and high torque when use 1:2.5 transmit ratio.

Rod Holder

Grilling action of the rod holder is synchronized with the hydraulic chuck.it grips mechanically but opens hydraulically.The main advantage with this design is that the rod holder will never loase it grip on the drilling string-even if the oil pressure should drop unexpetely;and guarantee the safety of drilling.

Mud Pump

Mud Pump,the auxiliary equipment for KD251 and KD252 drilling rig,is used to convey flushing liquid when drilling shallow holes by using diamonds,steel or carbide drilling bits.The liquid can carry include clean water,emulsion and slurry water etc.The BWJ-80A mud pump used on KD251,KD252 is the horizontal,single function,three cylinder reciprocating pistion pump.It can get three different flow level by speedchnage device.This type mud pump feature in simple structure,light weight,small in size,easy maintain and operation.
